AUDIO REVIEW : KendaSampige – Fire with Fraganance

The much awaited Kendasampige audio is out. Vikky & Manvitha Harish are the debutant lead pair. After Kaddipudi ,it promises to be yet another movie with Soori’sque touch.Kaddipudi got rave reviews for its songs as well as the background score. What do Harikrishna have in store for Kendasampige ? Let’s review the music here.

1.) Song Name: Nenape Nitya Mallige
Singer: Karthik
Lyrics: Jayanth Kaikini

Lovely composition. The feeling of love and characterization of the heroine is compared to different kinds of flowers in a very beautiful way. Full score for the lyrics. The whistle bit is another interesting part in the song and Karthik’s voice makes it more soothing to listen.

2.) Song Name: Kanasale Nadesu
Singer: Shwetha Mohan
Lyrics: Jayanth Kaikini

Another soothing melody.  But like the first song, it doesn’t carry the same tempo instead it has good variations in the composition. Shwetha has done a good job especially at high pitch notes.

3.) Song Name: Ilijaru Haadi Idu
Singer: Vijay Prakash
Lyrics: Yograj Bhat

An experimental composition by Harikrishna. It is haunting and carries a dark feeling. The lyrics personify a philosophy of its own and Yograj Bhat has penned it quite well. Vijay Prakash’s sensational voice make it even more haunting.

4.) Song Name: Mareyade Kshamisu
Singer: Balaram
Lyrics: Jayanth Kaikini

Patho version of ‘Kanasale Nadesu’. The usage of Keyboard/Piano is the brilliant part in the song. Balaram’s voice may sound unusual but it adds to the required mood to the song. Lyrics is apt and the ending musical bit makes a good background score.

Jayanth Kaikini has done, what he’s best at. The poetic lyrics reminds us of the old classics. And this album is surely one of his best writing. And yet another melodious album by Harikrishna after Siddhartha and Endendigu. The compositions are certainly fresh and interestingly it also carries a nostalgic feeling which makes this very imploring to listen. May not to appeal to masses, but people with good sense of music would just love this extraordinary album.

Rating : 4/5
