Firstly a VERY HAPPY WOMEN’s DAY to Actress Karunya Ram from Nam Cinema and its followers. On this occasion we got to ask few questions to Karunya Ram – the Vajrakaya heorine.
Nam Cinema: How important is it for you to have a women be independent ?
Karunya Ram: The ability to be independent is something that not everyone possesses. Women need to be independent in order to survive in the world. Learning to support themselves is the fundamental for any success we ever hope to achieve.
Nam Cinema: On that note, who is your inspiration ? Could be from any field.
Karunya Ram: My role model is Soundarya. She had been always inspiration to me. She taught us how to become successful in our life. How to face the adversities and how to fight it out. Her hard work, dedication and truthfulness had impressed me a lot. I like to follow her examples. And I will always miss her
Nam Cinema: People feel KFI is hero centric – what is your take on that ?
Karunya Ram: In each and every movies without a heroine there is no colorfulness OR entertainment, I always expect KFI should give importance for both hero and heroin same because both of them put their equal best efforts, heart and soul into the movie. Heard in 80’s and 90’s it was equal importance to both but now I see that trend has gone I really wish to see that come again.
Nam Cinema: We would wish that too ! So, give an opportunity would you want to act in heroine centric movie in future
Karunya Ram: Yes of course ! it should be a good message oriented movie and also should give more emphasis and highlight a women’s achievements like in movies such as Arundathi, Hindi movie Black, roles such as Malashree madam as enacted in Kiran Bedi.
Nam Cinema: Good to know, so while we end – any messages to you would like to convey on women’s day ?
Karunya Ram: If you want something said ask a man, If you want someting done, ask a women. Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world
Very well said ! thank you so much Karunya Ram for your time. We wish you all the very best in future.
